There seems to be a curse attached to this gemstone. It is believed that its owners have been struck with bad luck, time and again.
As mentioned above, jewelers too provide the service of cleaning diamonds (usually free of cost). They usually employ methods like steam cleaning, ultrasound cleaning, etc.
Diamond willow isn't a species of willow at all. It's actually the name given to the willows that happen to form the growths of which are shaped like diamonds. There's over 400 species of willow but only six of those are commonly known to have diamonds. Those species are found in Alaska, the great plains and boreal forests of the upper midwest and Canada. It's believed that a fungus gets into the bark of the tree and causes the deformity or scarring. Only some of the willows get the fungus in a given area. Why this is is unclear.
Composed of carbon, which has been pressurized under the Earth's surface for thousands of years, a diamond has been one of the most precious and desired stones since the dawn of time. These coveted stones are available in a variety of shapes, sizes, and colors, ranging from shades of pink, blue, green, and purple, to red, orange, yellow, and even black.
